We regret to announce that hi-resolution ASAR imagery is no longer available due to the failure of the ENVISAT satellite.
This will obviously impact the level of service we can currently provide.
However we are working closely with the European Space Agency to establish alternative sources of imagery to ensure continuity of Polar View services.
Currently we are able to provide a more focused service limited to restricted areas of the Southern Ocean. This is possible thanks to the cooperation of satellite data suppliers MDA and e-GEOS. We regret no coverage of the Arctic is currently possible. The Sentinel-1 satellite scheduled for launch in 2013 is planning to replace the more complete coverage delivered by ENVISAT.
